capacity building program for Cocoa Club Coordinators
A two-day capacity building program for Cocoa Club Coordinators concluded today at CRIG, where coordinators from schools in Abuakwa North underwent training on chocolate making at the Flavour Lab and cocoa by-products at the By-products Unit.
The capacity building program aims to expose coordinators to cocoa products and their production processes. Cocoa Club Ghana, founded by Michael Owusu-Manu, a former deputy director at Cocobod, is a fun-based educational outreach program that encourages youth to connect with cocoa from bean to bar, developing their knowledge in cocoa and related activities.
The club provides youth with opportunities to develop and promote their interests, realize their scientific skills, and acquire in-depth knowledge and information through activities in the cocoa sector, while offering insight into career opportunities.
