Project Strategy: Connecting from Bean to Bar

The Cocoa Club is to encourage the youth to connect with cocoa from bean to bar and develop careers in agribusinesses.

Career Exploration

Understand the opportunities in the cocoa sector and develop interest in careers in the cocoa supply chain and related agribusiness ventures.

Exposure to Cocoa’s Importance

Exposure the importance of cocoa, its uses and benefits of cocoa through eco-tours, seminars and visitations.

Hands-on Product Creation

Teach members the processes of making basic cocoa and chocolate products to the different activities, processes and careers in the sector.

Skill Development and Networking

Develop and enhance skills and talent to create an avenue for networking through games and sports, health walks, fundraising, community support, etc.

Proposed Activities: A Journey of Discovery and Engagement

Through activities of a Cocoa Club, learning about cocoa becomes joyful. The Club caters to freedom for expression, whereas the classroom atmosphere leads to conformity and repression. While activity participating in the Club the children will organize thought and translate these in to action and thereby develop a zealous enthusiasm to strive for the cause of scientific enterprise.
